FIELD TRIP(S)!

I got to go with my fifth grade class to the East Tennessee Discovery Center yesterday. It was science-based and so so great. It was super educational, kids had a blast, they learned stuff without even realizing it, and got a day away from the school building. I'm in love with these kids.

This is my friend Lindsay who is student teaching with another 5th grade teacher at Fairview who happens to be brothers with my teacher and right next door! It's been so fun to teach and do things with her. The left picture is us doing "Me and My Shadow".. you stand there with a pose until the light flashes, then you remove yourself from the wall and your shadow stays! pretty cool. The right picture is of us in the spaceship. :)

this is a picture from TODAY, when i went with MY social studies class to some museum. I didn't feel very good (crossing my fingers it's just a cold) so i didn't have as much fun as i could have and i honestly dont remember the name of the place. But, i did get a cute picture with my classmates in front of the log cabin!

field trips... oh one of the joys of being an elementary school teacher!
